S. M. Noble, an old resident and pioneer jeweler of Kentland, died at his home in that city last week, aged 73 years. - ' . Motion News: Wm. Cooper of Honey Creek tp. has lost six head from a cattle shipment received from Indianapolis and others in the herd are sick. Mrs. Eliza McCain, widow of the late Rev. C. McCain, a former well known Presbyterian minister who was located for a numiter of years at Good! a nil, died at her home in Kentland Tuesday, aged 8 7 years. The large farm residence of M. M. Bunnell, two miles north of Wolcott, was totally destroyed by fire of unknown origin at noon Thursday, The family had a narrow escape from death as the roof was falling in before they were aware of the fire: Nothing was Saved but the clothes they wore. The loss is partly covered by insurance, ,:T ' ‘ : The Remington Press; Pulaski County Democrat and several otftor Indiana Weekly papers have announced that they will raise their subscription price 50 cents per year because of the tremendous increase in cost of production. Paper, inks and all printing material have recently advanced greatly in price and the added cost of producing a paper has become so great that the publishers can only break even by boosting their subscription price.
