Oatmeal Soup.

j Cooked mush, one cupful; butter, two teaspoonfuls; Chopped onion, two tablespoonfuls; bayleaf, one; yolk of egg, one; milk, cne quart; salt, onehalf teaspoonful; pepper, one-half saltspoonful. Soup kettle, spoons, measuring cup. Cook onion without browning until tender. Then all the oatmeal, milk bayleaf. salt and pepper, stirring carefully, keeping temperature below boiling point. Strain through a fine sieve, reheat and pour while hot over the beaten yolk of egg. i
