Sued for Breach of Promise, Young Man Commits Suicide.

James Whipple, 23 years of age, 01 Romney, Tippecanoe county, died in a hospital in Lafayette Sunday, following a gunshot wound In the left side, which is said to have been self inflicted. Whipple Bhot himself at the home of his mother near Romney last Saturday and was taken to the Lafayette hospital Saturday night for an operation. Young Whipple was sued for $20,000 for breach of promise last September by Miss Helen Berry of Brazil, and it is believed that worry over this action prompted the young man to lake his life.
