Lecture Course Starts Out With a Fine Entertainment.
Those who attended the first number of the season’s lecture course at the Christian church last Friday night are unanimous in saying it was a splendid entertainment and well worth the price of admission. The first number was “The Old Colonial Band,” with E. Carmeliny as director. If the remaining numbers or the course compare favorably with the first number, it promises' to be one of the very best lecture courses ever given in Rensselaer, The course is under the auspices of the Prostestant churches of the . city and is worthy of a liberal patronage.
