Indiana Centennial News Notes.

Among the new centennial chairmen secured are: Senator W. A. Yarling, Shelby county, author of the bill creating the Indiana Historical Commission: Mayor James O. Batchelor of Marion, Grant county; Attor- ! ney Fred F. McClellan of Muncle, Deleware; Attorney Will Hough, Greenfield, Hancock; Attorney John H. Underwood of Bedford, Lawrence; Prof. O. H. Williams, Bloomington, Monroe; Capt. L. C. Baird, Jeffersonville, Clark. Vice-President Marshall has presented the state centennial commission with an interesting piece of I lousier literature in a long and striking poem on Indiana, written nearly three quarters of a century ago by Isaac H. Julian, brother of George VV. Julian. It came to Mr. Marshall from a friend in California. The poem appeared 1n the Indianapolis News, September 20th, and will be mailed by the commission to those making request.
