Brother of S. 8. Shcdil of Rensselaer, Heads Rock Island It. It. Directors. Chicago, Nov. s.—The new board of directors of the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railway Company today elected John G. Shedd chairman of the board, and chose Nathan L. Amstcr chairman of the executive committee. The resignations from the board of H. U. Mudge, who is to become president of the Denver &. Rio Grande, and W. if. Moore, were accepted, and E. F. Carry, Chicago, and Francis L. Iceland, New York, were elected to the respective vacancies. The following were chosen members Of the executive commitlee: Nathan French, N. L. Amster, John it. Morron, Charles G. Dawes, Edmund D. Humbert, John G. Shedd and Charles Hayden. Election of a president was deferred and the meeting adjourned subject to call of the chairman. Mr. Shedd is head of Marshall Field & Co., and is ope of Chicago’s most prominent business men.
