MEXICAN FACTIONS BATTLE.
At Agua l*rieta, and Bullets Fly Across Border in Arizona. Douglas, Ariz., Nov. 2.—Disregarding the American warning that firing across the American line would be followed by return fire from American troops, the troops of Gen. Francisco Villa, who began their long-heralded attack on Agua Prieta, opposite here, yesterday pouring a hot fire across the border, probably fatally wounding one American citizen and endangering the lives of thousands. The United States army entrenched at the border thus far has made no move to return the fire. The troops are in the trenches, momentarily expecting orders to take such action as may be necessary to prevent further firing into Douglas. The attack started late In the afternoon, when the Villa army, drawing within firing range of Agua Prieta, began a machine gun and light artillery fire, in a few minutes shells were raining around the United States customs house, where several hundred persons had gathered to watch the battle.
