GIANT WAR A REOPLANE ORDERED FOR U. S. NAVY.

Government Itself Will Build Flying Machine Capable of Carrying Supplies and Attacking Fleet. Washington, Oct. 27.—Secretary Daniels signed an order today tor the construction at the local government yard of a giant biplane for the navy, the first aircraft to be built at any government establishment. Plans were prepared by navy engineers under the direction of Constructor 11. C. Richardson, a qualified air idiot, who has been at work on the design for months. The craft will carry 2,200 pounds and make from fifty to eighty miles an hour for seven hours without stop. It will be driven by two 160-horse-power motors. The machine will almost equal in size the great French battle airships recently constructed.
