GIFFORD. John Stockwell was in Wheatfield Tuesday. Emily Ballard rook Sunday supper with Zana A. E. Zook and Pete Swisher were Medaryville goers Sunday. G. H. Comer of Possum Run. was a Gifford caller Friday evening. Miss Ivy Morgan of Danville,'lll., is visiting with home folks for a few days.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Smith and baby called on Theo. Smith and family Monday. Mrs. Le o Sharipotti went to Chicago; Saturday for a few days visit with home folks. Mrs. Watkins of Chicago, spent a Tew days the pa.-t week on tHeir truck farm here. Meeting was well attended Thursday night. Rev. Jordan conducted, the services in Rev. Titus’ place. Mrs, Cora Hodge and children of Rochester, visited over Saturday with her sister, Mrs. George Heil. We are still alive, even if we did have to blow the high water away from our nose long enough to catch our breath. Sheridan Logue went to Rensselaer Monday and purchased a motor with which to run his binder in cutting iiis wheat. The heavy rains has made the ground so wet that the binder would mire down.
