KAUFF WANTS TO PLAY BALL

Kangaroo of the National Pastime Writes Penitent Letter to the League President. New York, May 7. —Benny Kauff, baseball’s kangaroo, in a penitent mood, wrote a lengthy letter to James A. Gilmore, president of the Federal league, asking that the suspension be lifted so that he can get back into the Brookfed’s line-up. Gilmore suspended Kauff indefinitely for his jump to the New York Giants last Thursday.
