500-MILE PRECEDENT IS ON THEIR SIDE
Both American victories in the Indianapolis 500-mlle race, 1911 and ’l2 were won by native sons, Ray Harroun and Joe Dawson. If the laws of precedent count for anything, therefore, Howard Wilcox and Gil Anderson both of them Indianapolis boys, who are scheduled to drive Stutz cars, stand next in line. Wilcox recently took second in both the Vanderbilt and Grand 1 rize at Frisco, while Anderson annexed the 1913 Elgin.
