DAVID M. PEER DEAD.

Walker Tp., Man Dies of Blood Poisoning in South Bend Hospital. David M. Peer, a well known farmer of Walker tp., died Saturday evening in a hospital at South Bend, where he had been taken several days before to be treated for blood poisoning, caused from a thorn from a briar penetrating his hand some ten days previously. He leaves a wife and seven children, three sons, Volney M., David and Walter, and four daughters, Mrs. Roy Wickheiser of Tefft, Ethel, Margaret and Elsie, who are still at home. Mr. Peer was a good citizen and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. His age was about CO years. The funeral was held at Wheatfield yesterday at 10 a. m., and burial made there. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Smith and Mrs. John O’Connor of this place, former residents of Kniman, attended the funeral.
