City Council Proceedings.

Not much of importance was done at the regular meeting of the city council Monday evening. All members were present and following is the report of the proceedings: Leslie Clark was granted permission to use streets for moving a building on his filing the regular indemnifying bond. Petition of Harvey Moore for a light on the corner of Elm and Scott streets, was referred to the light committee. Contract with the city and the county commissioners to furnish posts, lights, etc., and install same on the east, west and south sides of the public square, for $750, was approved and the mayor was directed to sign same. These lights are to be the same as the new lights we now have on Washington street, and the city is to furnish the necessary “juice” and maintain and keep in repair said lights free gratis. The usual number of claims were allowed.
