Boulevard Lights Will Be Placed About Public Square.

At the .special meting of the county council Monday, an appropriation of $750 was made, the amount necessary, to place the boulevard street lights around the east, west and south sides of the public square, and the city will furnish the “juice” free gratis for same. These are to be the same style light precisely as we now have on Washington street, and they will add much to the fine appearance of our city. The council also appropriated $72.50 for expense of surveyor’s office; S7OO for expense <n appeal on mandamus proceedings in the qounty agent case of Hauter et al Vs, Comer et al; $45 for street sprinkling last year; $23.88 for expense of jail; and SI,OOO for expenses of commissioners’ court.
