E. G. Perrigo Loses Many Hogs By Peculiar Disease.

E. G. Perrigo of near Donavan, 111., was over Wednesday, bringing Reet Swain of Morocco, to see Dr. Johnson. Mr. Swain got something down his “Sunday throat” a few days ago and it had ffieen giving him considerable trouble,'so he consulted Dr. Johnson about it. Mr. Perrigo has met with considerable had luck lately, having lost 70 head of hogs from a lung ailment, that veterinaries have diagnosed as “lung worm.” The lungs of the animals that were examined after death were found to be full of holes and a good deal like a sponge. Mr. Perrigo thinks the trouble was caused from the animals taking cold. They had run to a straw stack all winter and piled jip the straw and became heated, and then got out in the cold air. Some of the hogs lost weighed as much as 300 pounds each, so that his total loss is esveral hundred dollars. Hogs' in another yard across the road from those affected,' done alright and there was no trace of the, lung trouble among them.
