Adair Promised to Support Hobson Bill, Pastor Says.

Elwood, Ind., Dec. 27.—From the pulpit in the First Methodist church here, where a few months ago he declared that he had received a letter from Representative John A. M. Adair to the effect that Mr. Adair would give his support to the Hobson resolution for nation-wide phohibition, the Rev. J. F. Radcliffe today tod? occasion to mention Mr. Adair’s negative vote when a few days ago the Hobson amendment came before the House for passage. The minister declared it seemed that the people could not rely upon promises and must now await the opportunity whiohi their ballots would give them in 1916.
