ROULERS AND AMENTIERES REPORTED CAPTURED. Germany's General Staff In Berlin Says Several French Attacks Were Repulsed. London, Dec. 11. —Continuing their offensive along almost the entire battle line through Belgium and France, the allied armies are credited with making notable advances against the Germans. Roulers, Belgium, from which the Germans were said a few days ago to have withdrawn their divisional headquarters on account of the shelling of the place after the allies captured Passchendaele, has been captured and entered by the allies, says the Sluts correspondent of the Amsterdam Handelsblad.. The town has 26,000 inhabitants, and is 12 miles north by northeast of Ypres. Armentieres, France, also has been captured by the allies. At least so reports Reuter’s Boulogne correspondent. There the British gained a success over the Germans, driving them out of the city and hurling them back beyond artillery range. German’s general staff in Berlin claims several French attacks were repulsed. As forwarded by wireless the statement reads: “In the district of Souaih the French confined themselves to heavy artillery firing. “A renewed French attack on Rocroi and Courcullis did not make any progress. The attack broke down under the fire of our artillery, the enemy suffering heavy loss.”
