EVERS VICTIM OF PNEUMONIA
Captain of World’s Champion Boston Braves Seriously lll—Condition Is Critical. New York, Dec. 11. —John Evers, captain of the pennant winning Boston Braves, Is dangerously ill at the Hotel Somerset here. Early today his illness was diagnosed as pneumonia and two doctors and two trained nurses are now in constant attendance upon him while Mrs. Evers has been summoned from Chicago by telegraph and is now on her way to his bedside. The doctors explained that Evers was resonably sure of recovery provided he could be kept in bed. President Gaffney of the Braves Is personally looking after the care of ths patient until hie wife., arrive.
