REBEL LEADER IS WOUNDED
Followers Crushed at Kakamas and Lieutenant Colonel Maritz Flees. Capetown, via London, Oct. 27.—1 tis officially announced that the rebel Lieutenant Colonel Maritz and his forces have been completely defeated at 1 Kakamas, in the Gordonia district of Bechuanaland, by Union of South Africa troops. Lieutenant Colonel Maritz was wounded in the engagement and Ted to German territory, according to the statement.
