The law requires that the county commissioners meet one week before the election to fill any vacancies that may occur in the appointments previously made for inspectors. The inspector and judge must have been a freeholder and resident householder of his precinct for one year, or a resident householder for two years immediately preceeding election. An inspector must not be of any relationship to any candidate on the ticket, even down to second cousin. This will require at least one change being made in the list heretofore appointed by the commissioners, that of Ad Hensler in the west precinct of Carpenter tp. Mr. Hensler's uncle, Charles Hensler, is the progressive candidate for county commissioner in the 3d district.
