”COMBAD” POX BOUND OVER
To Circuit Court Under SIOO Bond, With Ben D. McColly as Surety. Charles Fox, mention of whose mix-up with the t peace and dignity of the State of Indiana, was made in Saturday's Democrat as a result of a search warrant investigation of his bachelor quarters in a “shack” near the site of the old depot Thursday night, was arrested Friday afternoon on the charge of keeping a place where intoxicating liquors were sold, and had his preliminary hearing before Squire Irwin the same afternoon. The court thought the evidence sufficient to bind “Comrad” over to the circuit court, and the case will come up at the November term. Bond was fixed at SIOO and was given with Ben D. McColly as surety. '
The searching party Thursday eve-ning-'found five quarts of whiskey in “Comrad’s” shack, beside several empty whiskey bottles, it is v alleged, and some thirsty looking men hanging about whom the officers thought were waiting for Comrad to return from taking the 8 o’clock mail to the depot. ,
