Police Suspect Robbers Slew Man at Lafayette.
Lafayette, Ind:,rOct. 18. —The body of Clarence A. Hobson, the 25-year-old son of Hezekiah Hobson of Salem, Ind., was found today beside the Monon railroad tracks. The police suspect he may have been murdered. Hobson had been working for his brother, James Hobson, who conducts a restaurant at Remington, and left there yesterday with the intention of visiting his farher at Salem. . came to Lafayette and last night departed for Salem. When he left Remington he had S7O in currency on his person and a gold watch. \V r hen his body was found he had only 1 cent in his pocket. His skull was crushed at the base of the brain and his body was still warm. Coroner Roy V. Hammill and the local police are investigating the case. Jeptha Hobson, a brother, arrived here from Salem tonight and he is of the opinion that his brother was the victim of robbers.
