Jhe dispatch contains no details. Interest was added to the teport by the fact that the Goeben and the cruiser Breslau were reported to have been sold to Turkey after they took refuge in the Dardanelles when chased by British and French warships in the Mediterranean at the beginning of the war. If the cruiser is really in the possession of Turkey the dispatch means a conflict between British and Turkish ships and the entrance of Turkey into the war.
