Ambassador Herrick Says He Will Aid Americans. Paris. Sept. I.—Myron T. Herrick, the American ambassador in reply tc a question said that the American em bassy will remain in Paris even in the gvent of the investment of the capital by the German forces. “My government offered me ths choice of returning to the United States or remaining in Paris. I decld ed to remain because there are many here who would need not only my support but my- protection in such a situation.”
