CARRANZA OUSTS SIR CARDEN
British Envoy Is Said to Have Been Handed Passports. Washington, Aug. 25. —The Mexican situation again flared Into prominence as a result of the reported expulsioa of Sir Lionel Carden, the British minister to Mexico, from Mexico City by General Oarranza. According to official information received here, Sir Lionel w as to be handed his passports, which is a polite way of saying that his presence is no longer desired. It is fair to assume that Carranza, in acting as he is officially reported to have done, apprehended that he had nothing to hope for from Great Britain. That government intended at an opportune moment to make sterfl representations asking the punishment of the murderers of the British ranchman, Benton, and it is alleged Villa was one of them.
