Jackson Township Suncay School Convention.
The Jackson township Sunday school convention was held in the M. E. church at Mt. Ayr, Aug. 2. The convention was presided _ver by Dr. C. R. Osborn of Brook, county president. There was a large crowd present. The different departments of the Sunday school work was discussed in a very able way. Among the most interesting events of the convention was the ‘‘temperance demonstration” by Barney DComer of Union tp., Jasper county. This demonstration was certainly hard to beat, and whoever sees it is greatly benefited. Among others who addre sed the convention on different subjects was Arvel Bringle and Mr. Fair of Fair Oaks, and W. L. Wood of Parr.
