Wood Nominated by Acclamation.

. t the republican congressional convention held in Valparaiso Tuesday, the Hon. Will R. Wood, of Lafayette, was nominated by acclamation. W. O. Thomas, of Monticello, who was also seeking the nomination, withdrawing from thei race when he saw that he stood no show of winning out. Mr. Wood is a very able man and is without doubt the strongest candidate the republicans could have named tor the place. Ex-Congressman E. D. Crumpacker was permanent chairman of the convention.
