Mrs. Lowe will be remembered here by many friends as Miss Alice Hughes. The new state penal farm, the establishment of which was authorized bv the 1913 General Assembly, will be established in Warren Township, Putnam County, and will conof 1,567 acres bought for 357,000. The site is in forty-four miles of ■ liahapolis. The average price per a.ere paid for the land was 336.37, several farms having been purchsise.'t to make the aggregate.
