TELEPHONE CO. WILL BUILD
New Office and Central Station on North Weston Street, North of Washington. Messrs. Clark and Bott, the new owners of the telephone company, have bought of John Holden, a lot 50x150 just north of the old G. E. Marshal residence property on the east side of Weston street, and will at once begin the erection of a new central building. The structure will be 24x24, two stories, with a basement, and a garage and storage room 20x24 on the rear, one story in height. The front will be of pressed brick, with paving brick for the side and rear walls. The business office, public booth and toll operator will be on the ground floor, and the local central board and operators on the second floor. It is the intention to install a new and modern switch-board and other equipment in the new building as soon as completed, and not move any of the present equipment to the new quarters. The price paid for the lot on which the new building will be located was $750.
