Rensselaer Lost to Delphi.

In the debating contest held at the high school auditorium Tuesday evening between Delphi an ' Rensselaer high school debating teams, Delphi was the winner, being awarded the decision on the affirmative here and on the negative at Delphi the same night. The subject discussed was: ‘Resolved that an Income Tax Is Practicable in the United States ” The affirmative team of the Rensselaer school was R«ussell Warren and Dwight Curnick, who were opposed by Frank Wagoner and William Mahanna, or Delphi The negative team that went to Delphi was composed of Elvyn Allman and Robert Reeve, who were opposed by Floyd Swartz and Lake Raridan, of Delphi. 1 The judges here were C. J. Dexter, principal of the West Lafayetto high school; Bernard Sabel, of the English department of th' Lafayette high school, and X. W. Coil, superintendent of the Menon schools. Prof. Ira Coo accompanied the negative team to Delnh*. The judges there were young lady teachers from Ldgansport, Misses Mehaffic, McConnell and Hutton.
