To the Public.

Some person or persons have seen fit to start the report that I am closing out the Fire Sale Stock for Rowles & Parker. I brand this a s an untruth and I have on deposit in the First National bank of Rensselaer, $2,000.00, sl,000 of which I will give to the person that can prove his statement that I am closing out this stock for Rowles & Parker: the other *I.OOO I will pay to any one that can prove that I have closed out a stock of goods for anybody in the last five years other than myself. The facts are, we have only a limited time in which to close out the Fire stock. If you want bargains, you had better not delay one day, but come today and every day, as we must vacate the Forsythe building in time so that Rowles & Parker can remodel the building and get their new stock for the spring trade.
