Few Public Sales This Year.

Not half the public sales are being held in Jdsper county this season as usual. In fact the number is the smallest perhaps in twenty years. There is no emmigration from the county and comparatively few changes being made that necessitates a sale. There is also less stock in the county probably than for many years, the high prices of both stock and grain having caused farmers to sell off their stock very closely. Usually nearly every day in January and February is taken up. with public sales, but this year they are comparatively few and far between. There will be a number, of course, in February but nothing like, the usual number for that month.
