JOSEPH V. PARKISON DEAD.
Former Resident of Jasper County Dies at His Home at Bucklen, Kan. Joseph V. Parkison, a former well known resident of Jasper county, died at his home at Bucklen, Kan., Wednesday morning after a gradual decline of several weeks, aged S 3 years and 7 months. The body will be brought here for burial and was expected to arrive here either last night or this morning. Brhce Porter, of Mlt. Vernon, So. Dak., a son-in-law, i s accompanying the body here. Other relatives, including the widow are expected—to accompany him. Mr. Parkison was a native of Ohio, where he was born May 36, 1829, and came to Jasper county with his parents in 1837, where he resided until 1903, in Barkley tp., when he located at Bucklen, Kan., where he has since resided. He leaves a wife and six children - Mrs. W. V. Porter of Rensselaer, Mrs. Bruce Porter of Mt. Vernon. So. Dak., Mrs. Alfred Collins of Bucklen, Kan., ’ Mrs. Frank Yeoman of Kaw City, Okla., gnd Wallace Parkison. who lived w ith his parents and is unmarried. The funeral will be held at the Trinity M. E. church at 2 p. m., Sunday, conducted by Rev. Harper. The burial services will be in charge of the Masonic lodge, of which order deceased was a member.
