DEMOCRATS WISH AN ORGAN.

Afternoon Newspaper May Re Started at Lafayette Lafayette, Ind., December 10.— Rumors are current of a new afternoon Democratic daily newspaper. It is not yet known when the plans will he completed. The »report is that Reno M. Isherwood, the publisher of the Tippecanoe County Democrat, a Democrat weekly, will start an afternoon daily, with full press service and complete equipment. One report is that the Sunday Times, a Sunday newspaper, will he merged with the Democrat In establishing the daily. It is also reported that the Murdock brothers, Charles and Samuel, are interested In the new venture. In view of the Democratic victory in the last election, there is an insistent demand here sot a Democratic dally, something which Lafayette has not had for nine years.
