The cold wave, scheduled" to arrive last week, did not reach us until /Friday night, when it got decidedly cooler and the ground froze, for the first time this fall. It has since been quite cool and Monday morning was down to about ten degrees above zero. Yesterday was quite warm again, the mercury standing at 4 2 at 3 p. m.

H. W. Gilbert, of the Auto Sales Co., of Remington, was in the city a few hours Monday afternoon. He drove over in a new “Marion” auto whicth he jufrt got in a few days ago. It is a beauty and has all the latest equipment, including electric lights, with dynamo and storage battery, and sells for $1,475 fully equipped.
