C. G. Hammond of Big Rapids, Mich., who came here several days ago with a carload of apples, closed out the remainder of his car at Morocco Saturday and returned to his home Monday.
Bert Swing, a boy ‘from near Francesville, was brought to the Rensselaer Hospital Sunday by Dr. Sharrar of that place and had one of his large toes amputated. While out hunting he had accidently shot himself.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mitchell of Battle Creek, Mich., went to St. Anne, 111., Monday for a few days visit before returning home. They have been visiting here with their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Dolph Day.
R. A. Parkison, who has been at Kingman, Kan., for the past few months with his family, is now here looking after his' farming and busi. ness matters for a few weeks. His daughter Ruth; for the benefit of whose health they went to Kansas, is practically restored to perfect health by the change, but the family will remain there all winter.
