PENNSY WINS FROM CORNELL

Ithacans Put Up Game Figh% But Lose of 7 to 2 on Slippery Field. Philadelphia, Nov 29. —In spite of a game fight, Cornell lost to the University of Pennsylvania by the Bcore of 7 to 2. A gridiron, wet by a melting snow, was responsible tor a great deal of fumbling aid probably the fact that all of the points scored were due to mistakes by both sides. Cornell was the first to score, getting two points on a safety by Mindz. Penn secured the touchdown which won the game towards the close of the second period. An unlucky fumble by Bennett waw responsible for the score. Mercer, the fleet-footed Quaker captain, scooped up the ball on his own 45-yard line and was off like a flash for the Cornell goaf. Butler was the only man in a position to give chase, but Jourdot and Harrington put him out of the play and the touchdown was then an easy matter.
