Pesident-elect Wilson has announced that he will call a special session of Congress early in April to revise the tariff, as pledged in the democratic platform.
The official vote in Indiana for the first presidential electors om the state tickets, as announced by the canvassing board, give the democrats a total vote of 281,890; republicans, 151,261; prohibitionists, 19,248“ progressives, 1 62,007; socialists, 36,931; social labor, 3,130.
From time to time attention has been called to the lack of tuewspaper honesty of the editor of the Rensselaer Republican. l It is true that a paragraph commending “Howard W. Taft,” was printed in this paper, hut the item appeared in the Otterbein correspondence with the other items from that town and is in no. sense the opinion of the editor of this paper.—Fowler Republican.
