Mrs. Carrie Baker and two little daughters returned to their home in Pontiac, 111., Saturday after a short visit here with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. John Newcome and baby accompanied them home.

Mrs. Joe O’Connor, formerly Miss Lennie Grant, came down from Hammond Monday to remain a few days with her mother. Joe is having a new house built, and it is not yet completed. Joe and Miss Grant were married last Wednesday aft Aurora, BL
The electric light plant at Watseka and other towns west of here have been swallowed up by the Northern Illinois Utilities Co. It is our guess that .within five years there Will not be an electric lighting plant in this section.- —Kentland Enterprise.
An express package addressed to Miss Hannah Popper, Rensselaer, Ind., and also having the name of “Boyles’ written on tne wrapper, was taken by mistake Saturday from Eger’s grocery. The party who took the package is requested to leave same at The Democrat office, and greatly oblige.—-Advt.
Lud Clark of Milroy tp., has purchased the farm of his father in Milroy, and will have a public sale Nov. 20, on the Fred Saltwell farm where he has been a tenant for several years, and at the same time and place Mr. Saltwell will sell the farm of 160 acres, on which Mr. Clark has been living, also at public sale. The terms on the farm and a list of the personal property will be published later.
