Landy MaGee Gets a Bad Fall.

Monday afternoon while > Landy MaGee and Sylvester Galbraith were testing some chains used on fire escapes at the Makeever hotel, the former threw one of the chains out of the window on the third floor and started to slide down. When part way down the chain parted and Dandy fell about twenty feet to the cement sidewalk in front of the Western Undon office, striking on his head and shoulder. He was' picked up in an unconscious condition and carried into the hotel and later taken to the hospital, where it w r as found that tno bones were broken and he will soon be about, as good as ever. There was a scalp wound on the back of his head, where it had come in contact with the cement sidewalk and when picked up it was feared that the injuries might prove fatal.. Both men had tested the chain frcm the window before Landy attempted to go down the escape, and it seemed perfectly strong.
