A 150 Mile Automobile Trip.
The Democrat editor, wife and son Delevan and Miss Ethel Sharp, with Lawrence Knapp as chauffeur, in ore of J. M. Kniapp’s R-C-H care autoed to Attica Sunday, going ria Goodland, Fowler, Rainsville, Mud la via and Williamsport, and returning via Lafayettee, Tecumseh Trail, Battle Ground, Brookston, Chalmers,. Wolcott and Remington, about 150 miles 'the round trip.
They have some excellent corn all the way along from Remington to Attica. In fact not a poor field of corn was seen, but between Attica and Lafayette there were several light fields. Not much threshing had been done anywhere along the route.
Whether the people down about Attica ’ and Lafayette are not as well fixed financially as those of our own vicinity or whether they are not as free spenders, there are much fewer automobiles down there apparently, and on the road from Attica -to Lafayette, about 23 miles, only two automobiles were seen. But there were dozens of horse vehicles Here, of a Sunday especially, the automobiles outnumber the horse vehicles about three to one, white there the latter apparently outnumber the automobiles at least a dozen to one.
The trip was a meet delightful one and included severafl 'stops, with about two hours at the Tecumseh Trail pleasure resort, and was made to twelve hours. No auto trouble whatever was experienced.
