No More Sunday Mail.
Uncle Sam has apparently at last joined the union labor ranks, and refuses to work on Sunday or let anybody else work. Postmaster Mulrray has received • otice that beginning with next Sunday no mail whatever will be handed out or delivered except special delivery letters. That is, the office doors will be closed all day to the public. This order applies to all first and secern d> class offices, and the only real purpose it can serve, apparently, is to greatly discomode the pubEc. Hundreds of Country people, for example, get their mail after church on Sunday, and now must wait until Monday and then make a special trip to town to get the mail which heretofore they have been getting without any extra trouble when they came to church on Sunday.
It will also be very unpopular with town people, many of whom usually get the heaviest mail of the week on Sundays and have been to the habit of going to the postoffice during the noon hour Sundays for it. We understand this provision is carried in the new - parcels post measure, just passed by congress, and was no doubt worked in by some fanatic labor leaders who, if they had their way about it, would ■not have any labor performed on Sunday or any other day except that the proceeds be devoted to fattening their own miserable carcasses.
