Another Gasoline Stove Gets Frisky

About 9:30 a. m., Monday a fire alarm was turned in from Firmsan Rutherford’s residence on College avenue, but before the company responded, the fire had been put out, by some carpenters working near thd Rutherford house. It seems that Mrs. Rutherford had been using a gasoline stove for ironing, and had turned off the blaze to fill tihe stove, and in doing this she spilled some gasoline on the red hot burner, and in an instant the stove was a mass of fliames. She was unable to reach the teleplhone and ran out in the yard and summoned some carpenters, who succeeded in putting out the blaze after the window curtains, kitchen cabinet and some other kitchen furniture had been damaged considerably.
