WHAT THE PROGRESSIVES ARE DOING.
The Progressives are perfecting their organization in the Tenth district and have named ( provisional county chairman in the different counties and calls have been issued for the selection of delegates to the state convention.
As to the representative in the Tenth district, the Monticello Journal (Progressive) says th 9 t -many of those who have been making a study of the situation— both democrat and Progressive—are offering to lay odds that Mr. Crumpacker will be only third when the votes are counted this fall. The sentiment in the district seems to be intense against him. There will soon, be a line of Progressive newspapers clear across the district, commencing with the Lafayette Courier and winding-up with two or more in Lake county. If talk means anything, and it usually does, there is going to be a landslide when the election comes oft.”
