Ind., June 6.—Michael Leary, age fifty, a railroad crossing watchman, is in a critical condition at St. Jahn’s hospital following the removal of his right eye last night. Mr. Leary was cooling a bottle of root beer at his (home last night when the bottle explolded and the tin cap struck Mr. Leary in the eye. destroying the sight.
