Miss Eva Clark spent Sunday in; Hammond. j Walter Porter has bought' a new Ford touring car. Miss Oka Pancoast was a Chicago visitor Friday. Mrs. Ed Oliver and daughter of Newland went to Chicago Saturday for a visit with relatives. B. S. Fendig and little daughter of Chicago were Sunday guests of his mother and sister here. Mrs. Anna Maloy, went to Steger, 111., Saturday to visit her son, Dr. Bernard Maloy and family. Dr. W. L. Meyer has sold his Ford auto to Scott Brenner of Mt. Ayr and will buy a new E-M-F. Aunt Mary Jane Hopkins has gone to Monticello for a few weeks visit with her son Homer and family. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilson and son of Monon were over Sunday guests of Joe Luers and wife south of town. Mr. and Mrs. David Sutcliff of Spokane, Wash., are visiting the letters sister, Mrs. Lem Huston and; husband. ■. “ I Mrs. B. Ti Lanham of south of town has been quite sick for several days with stomach trouble, but at this writing is improving. Miss Clara Zink, accompanied by her two little neices, Mildred and Gertrude Borntrager, went to Wapakoneta, Ohio, Saturday to visit her parents. Mrs. Edna Weiss returned to her home in Peoria. 111..
