SEE CANNOT ESCAPE
Serving Sentence in Penitentiary, Says State's Attorney Burnham. Chicago, June I.—“ Evelyn Ar* thur See cannot escajte. He must serve an indeterminate sentence in the Joliet penitentiary for the abduction of Mildred Bridges.” Thia was the statement made today by Frederick Burnham, assistant state's attorney, who successfully prosecuted the apostle of the “absolute life” in the Criminal court, after he had learned of an eleventh-hour move upon the part of See’s friends to save him from prison. The move to which the state refers is the affidavit made by Stephen H. Bridges, father of Mildred, in which he swears that he falsely accused the prophet, and that he has since seen his error and has taken up his honie in the old cult “Temple” with his wife. Mildred and Mona Rees and her mother.
