No. 46 You buy them for protection and a good lock is the cheapest protection in the world. A good lock will last nearly a life time. Isn’t the difference it affords in safety over the cheaper lock worth many times the small difference in price? What a different feeling you have, especially when away and your family is at home, with a lock on your door that only your key will open, than when you have a flimsy lock that any skeleton key will open or that any tramp can force in a few minutes. One of our locks is readily opened with the proper key without any groping, fumbling, or aggravating twisting and turning. A house with good things inside and cheap locks is like a lot of money in a pocket with a hole in it.
