Washington, Jan. 19.—A sharp attack on President Gompers of the American Federation of Labor was made in the senate by Mr. Heyburn of Idaho, who pretested that a com-i .munication from Mr. Gompers should not be received by the, senate. He said that no communication shoqld be accepted from that source after the revelations made in the McNamara case.
