Cause cf Infertile Eggs.
Too many hens with the male bird frequently results in infertile eggs, and if it is found that gexmless eggs are being produced’ the number should be reduced. Breeding stock which are the progeny of related parents are usually rather apt. to produce sterile eggs; this is one of the several reasons why It. Is a mistake to inbreed. Every colt should be taught a walking gait. This can be done by gently pushing him while walking but he should never be urged too long at a time before, changing-his gait. , If we feed and care for sheep we iare fattening as they should be cared for to make the most profit from this mutton, we also supply the very best ; conditions to produce the best wool \ in the combing class. I . : V • • '■ i lo the up-to-date and progressive j dairyman and to the most advanced ! fititie feeders, the use of the silo and j the feeding of ensilage is recognized 1 as being necessary to the. greatest sucj cess in their respective lines of husiI ness. j • ; -v. j ' The farmer ought to be able to pro- | duce eggs at a feed cost of , about | eight centp a dozen. To do this he ! must keep the hens which will make the best showing, instead. of a lot of mongrels at no breeding and without laying capacity.
